VALERIE (VAL) ANNE GORDON: Passed away at Colchester General Hospital on 11th August 2021, aged 74. Much loved Wife of Mike, devoted Mother to Becky and Tim, wonderful "Nana" to Indigo and Cassius and Mother in Law to Lizzie. Will be so sadly missed by all. A Service of Thanksgiving for Val's life will be held at All Saints Church, Great Horkesley on Thursday 2nd September at 2pm. Family flowers only please. JENNIFER ANN MORTIMER (NÉE BETHUNE): 89, was promoted to glory on Friday 6th August 2021, passing peacefully in her sleep. She had a lifelong passion for the natural world. An avid gardener. Cat lover. Opinionated debater, on almost any topic. But most of all, just simply, a great Mum. She is survived by her Sons, Roger and Rod, her Daughters-in-Law, Heather and Cindi, her Grandchildren, Beth, Rory, Jude, Israel and Max and her Great Grandchildren, Lily, Alexis, Myla, Ella, Ava, Reuben and Caleb. She will also be greatly missed by all her friends in the UK and family in Australasia. 'To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.' JOAN GOFF: 6th October 1946 - 14th August 2021 Passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday 14th August, surrounded by her family. KEITH MIRAMS: 86, died peacefully in hospital on Thursday 5 August 2021. Well-known in the Colchester area for his work through Mirams Design, with clients including the Mercury Theatre, Milsom Hotels and Lay and Wheeler Wine Merchants, he was a former Chair of Colchester Art Society. In retirement, he enjoyed writing with the Untapped Writers. He is survived by Wife Elizabeth, Children Sarah and Robert, and Grandchildren Jess and Bridget. The funeral will take place at Seven Hills Crematorium on Thursday 26th August, 3pm. Family flowers only.
