HELENSBURGH Golf Club’s Peter Haggarty became Dunbartonshire’s Champion of Champions at Cardross Golf Club.

Each 2020 club champion in the county participates in a knock-out competition and Helensburgh and Balmore’s champions won their way through to face each other in the final.

Peter secured his win on the 18th green after finishing his round with two birdies.

On the same day the Dunbartonshire Handicap Competition final was played also at Cardross, and Joe Barton made it a special double win for Burgh, overcoming his opponent on the fourth extra hole.

The final of the Breingan Medal pitched the monthly winners against each other and Steven Scott’s round of net 68 gave him the honours two shots ahead of Stewart Fraser.
