MEMBERS of the Helensburgh Canoe Club recently paddled around the coast of the West Highlands in the second part of their efforts to complete the Scottish Sea Kayak Trail – and beyond.
Two years ago the group tackled the Argyll Kayak Trail from Helensburgh to Oban, and after a one-year Covid-enforced break, last month they took on the stretch between Arisaig and Oban.
Organiser Geoff Riddington said: “Next year the club is planning to paddle from Arisaig to Ullapool to complete the route.”
The picture above was taken at Sanna Bay in Ardnamurchan after the group and their kayaks came ashore for a night of wild camping. Three of the four Small Isles – Muck, Rum and Eigg – can be seen in the background.
