PLANNING bosses at the National Park have been asked to allow the use of a lochside site in Luss for the holding of events for up to five years.

Land owner Luss Estates has submitted a formal planning application to the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority for the temporary use of the Camstraddan Slate Quays site on the southern edge of the village.

The application seeks permission for the “use of land for the holding of events with associated erection and/or siting of temporary/movable structures and for the parking of vehicles”.

The site has previously been leased to the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel for outdoor functions.

A similar previous application in 2018 attracted concerns from a nearby householder over the noise nuisance he claimed was caused by late-night functions at the site.
