A HELENSBURGH group which helps to fight loneliness and isolation is among the groups benefitting from a council fund supporting projects across Argyll and Bute.
Grey Matters Active Ageing has received a grant to purchase folding outdoor tables and chairs, and two pop-up gazebos thanks to Argyll and Bute Council’s Covid-19 micro grants fund.
It is one of 63 community groups and projects who will receive a grant of up to £500 from the fund, which was set up to help them recover from the impact of the pandemic.
Councillor Mary-Jean Devon said: “Community groups, voluntary organisations and local charities do fantastic work in bringing people in our towns and villages together and that’s something that has been greatly missed during lockdown.”
