CARING children at Colgrain Primary in Helensburgh put their education to good use recently by donating items to the area’s food bank.
The youngsters gathered donations for the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank whilst learning about and celebrating harvest.
A school spokesperson said: “We were delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile cause and look forward to doing so again as we head towards Christmas.”
Helensburgh’s Tesco and Morrisons supermarkets have also donated huge hauls to help top up the food bank’s supplies in recent weeks, along with churches on the Rosneath peninsula.
