ONE of Scotland’s best-known authors will visit Helensburgh this week as part of the annual Book Week Scotland celebrations.
Award-winning novelist Chris Brookmyre will talk about his work at the event at the Victoria Halls on Thursday, November 18.
Since grabbing the attention of readers in Scotland and beyond with his Jack Parlabane series – the first of which, Quite Ugly One Morning, was published 25 years ago – the 53-year-old former journalist has penned more than 25 best-selling novels which have earned him thousands of fans around the world, plus two historical crime novels written jointly with his wife, Dr Marisa Haetzman, published under the pseudonym Ambrose Parry.
Thursday’s event starts at 7pm. Tickets (£6 plus booking fee) are available from Helensburgh Library or online at ents24.com.
