ENTRIES are now open for a series of competitive running events taking place in Balloch next year.

Run Loch Lomond has announced its 10K race will return to the area’s athletics calendar on Saturday, June 18, 2022 after two years of Covid-enforced cancellations.

There will also be a 5K event to allow more people of all abilities to take part.

These events are open to anyone aged over 15 and 11, respectively.

Kicking off at 10am, the day will see runners do a loop of Balloch Castle Country Park, with those doing the 10K also heading out towards Alexandria.

A fun run aimed at children and their families is also planned to take place at 9am on the same Saturday at Moss o’ Balloch Park.

Entry costs £2-£20 depending on the event and places can be booked via runlochlomond.com.
