HELENSBURGH Tennis Club will make its biggest ever donation to Children in Need after club members responded “magnificently” to a fund-raising raffle on Friday.
The efforts of organisers Ann McKelvie, along with her team of helpers, and the generosity of members and friends, resulted in more than 80 prizes being donated, and £1,240.60 raised.
The proceeds included some £200 from purchases of sample stock from the clothing brand, Captain Tortue, with all items priced at £10 each, organised by Fiona MacLaren.
Ann, pictured above with fellow volunteers Carol MacDonald, Phyllis Fullarton and Trish Schooling, said: “The response from members and their friends has been overwhelming. I would like to thank everyone for buying raffle tickets and for their donations.”
