A CHARITY concert in Helensburgh next month, with a programme including a host of favourite festive tunes, has been cancelled.
The famous Glasgow Phoenix Choir, under the direction of its conductor, Kilcreggan man Cameron Murdoch, had been due to host A Christmas Celebration at Helensburgh Parish Church at 7:30pm on Saturday, December 4.
But the choir announced on Friday afternoon that the event had been cancelled because of Covid safety concerns.
It is hoped to reschedule the concert for an as-yet-unannounced date in spring 2022.
People who have already bought tickets can get a refund from the point of purchase or will be allowed to use their ticket at the rescheduled event.
The event had been set to raise money for the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank and Garelochhead Parish Church's roof repair fund, as well as collecting food donations for the food bank.
