TWO teenagers were reportedly involved in an alleged drug driving offence in Helensburgh earlier this month.

Shortly before 11.30pm on Friday, December 17, an 18-year-old from the Shandon area was arrested for a suspected drug driving offence on Sinclair Street.

His vehicle was stopped after officers allegedly observed it being driven erratically.

The teen was taken to Clydebank police office, where he is said to have refused to provide officers with a blood sample for analysis, as required by law.

He was later released from police custody when he was in a fit state and a report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Meanwhile, a 19-year-old male from Helensburgh who was a passenger in the vehicle was reportedly found to be in possession of controlled drugs and was issued with a recorded police warning.
