A CARDROSS artist is keeping the memory of Helensburgh's most famous feline alive in aid of charity.
Judith Spence has created two graphite pieces, entitled George at The Hill House and You Looking at Me?, following the famous feline’s death from kidney issues in September.
Jackie Hood, the daughter of George's owners, Elizabeth and Dennis Royal, set up a Facebook page to chronicle George's travels after his wanders around Helensburgh and beyond attracted a growing band of admirers – and the tales of his adventures soon went viral.
George’s family have chosen Alzheimer Scotland and Cats Protection as the two good causes to benefit from sales of Judith's new works, with 20 per cent of all proceeds to be donated to the charities.
The A4 works cost £23 apiece and have been printed in batches of 25 each.
Find out more at the ‘George the Helensburgh Cat’ page on Facebook.
The prints can also be purchased from the Destination Helensburgh shop on Sinclair Street.
