THERE'S no shortage of scenic photo opportunities around Helensburgh and Lomond - no matter the time of year - but judging by the photos shared with us by Advertiser readers over the last 12 months, 2021 was particularly special.

Our 'Picture of the Week', showcasing a scenic image sent in to us by one reader per edition, has been a regular feature of the printed Advertiser for many years - but since we launched the Advertiser's 'Camera Club' group on Facebook a year ago you're taken it to a whole new level.

We've picked out a small selection of our favourites from the last 12 months for you to look back on and enjoy.

If these pictures inspire you to get out and about with the new camera or phone Santa brought you at Christmas, why not get involved by becoming a Camera Club member? All you need to do is head over to our Camera Club on Facebook, submit a request to join, and as soon as we've approved your request you can start to share your own favourite pictures - or simply sit back and enjoy the work of others.

Alternatively, if you don't do Facebook - and we know there are some who don't! - you can still share your contributions with us. Simply email your picture(s), in JPEG format and with a minimum file size of 500KB, to editorial@helensburghadvertiser.co.uk with brief details of when, where and by whom they were taken.

In the meantime, here's our (entirely subjective) selection of our favourites as taken and shared by you over the last 12 months...
