MEMBERS of a Helensburgh peer support group are celebrating a cash windfall this new year after a nearby market garden donated proceeds from its festive sales.

Craigend Nursery in Cardross raised almost £500 from customer contributions towards deliveries of Christmas trees and the cash will go to mental health group Males Tales and its sister organisation, Females Tales.

Craigend Nursery said on Facebook: “As always we donate our delivery money for Christmas trees. This year it’s going to Males Tales Helensburgh and Females Tales.

“I’m delighted to say we have raised £493.87 this year.

“Thank you to all my customers who more often than not donate more than we suggest.”

A social media post from Males Tales said: “Thank you Craigend Nursery, Cardross and all their customers.

“This is an amazing amount and both us and Females Tales Helensburgh are extremely grateful.”

Face-to-face meetings resumed last Monday for the group at Drumfork Community Centre.
