A WOMAN who deliberately pushed her former partner’s motorbike to the ground in a Helensburgh car park has been ordered to stay away from her ex.

Natalie Millar caused damage worth £800 to the machine when she knocked it over in the pier car park last spring.

Dumbarton Sheriff Court heard last week how Millar, of Cedarwood Court in Cardross, approached her ex on April 12, 2021 while he was talking to another person about their bikes in the West Clyde Street car park.

Procurator fiscal Heather Galbraith told the hearing on January 25 that Millar walked away after pushing over the motorcycle.

Police were called to the scene to view the damage, and successfully traced Millar, who later pleaded guilty to a charge of vandalism.

The 35-year-old’s solicitor, Ashley Pollock, told Sheriff Frances McCartney: “She has had a traumatic time in recent years. She is still suffering as a result of those choices.

“She is a woman in education. She has completed her first year and is taking part in her second year in beauty therapy.”

Sheriff McCartney placed Millar on a community payback order which will see her supervised by a social worker for a period of 18 months.

She must also pay back £800 compensation for the damage to the bike in monthly instalments of £40.

The sheriff also put a non-harassment order in place ordering Millar not to attempt to communicate with, or to contact, her ex for a period of three months.

Millar, who appeared in court wearing a ‘controlled ankle motion’ boot as part of her recovery from an injury, was told to return to court in May to find out how many hours of unpaid work she will have to carry out as a punishment.
