An accordionist who has previously performed solo concerts at the Berlin Philharmonie and Edinburgh Festival is set to take to the stage in Rhu.
Ryan Corbett will feature in the first 2022 concert in the Sandwich Series at Rhu and Shandon Parish Church on Thursday, February 24 at 1pm.
Organiser Louise Burnet has held the events at her home in nearby Shandon for several years, and has now decided to make the move to the bigger venue to allow the audience to be safely spaced.
Attendees are promised “a glass of wine, a sandwich and an hour of wonderful music”.
Ryan, who is in his final year of study at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, was recently awarded the prestigious gold medal at the Royal Overseas League Competition.

The musician is also due to perform as a soloist with the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland in June.
His programme in Rhu will include music by Bach, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn and Liszt.
There is a £10 donation entrance fee and spaces can be reserved by contacting randschurchoffice@btconnect.com.
Following Ryan’s performance, the next event in the series will be a piano recital by Robert Bridge on Thursday, April 1.
