TRAIN services in Helensburgh were disrupted on Thursday afternoon due to a landslip in the town.

The rail operator announced it had received reports of the incident between Craigendoran and Helensburgh Upper at around 1pm.

Engineers headed to the site to assess the damage caused by what was described as a "minor landslip", with ScotRail warning that services between Glasgow Queen Street and Oban/Mallaig were liable to be cancelled, delayed, or revised.

The line reopened around an hour later but with trains running at a reduced speed through the area.
