Helensburgh and Lomond Artisans Association has held its first craft fair of the year, with a range of hand made goods on offer.

Eleven stalls were set up at Helensburgh Parish Church, with products such as cards, prints, bags, purses and pottery available.

Member and stallholder Heather Little said: “We had a steady stream of people which we’re always happy with.

“The weather wasn’t very good, it was a bit wet and windy, but we had a few new people and some regulars in, so that was good.

“We have almost 30 people in our group, so we try and make sure we have a mix of crafters. “

As well as craft sales, the fair had a takeaway cake stall and a raffle board which raised a total of £131 for Robin House in Balloch.

The group has also teamed up with Plastic Free Helensburgh and has been encouraging people to bring their own containers for the cakes they wish to buy.

Heather added: “It’s actually working well. A lot of people do remember.

“We can tell who our regulars are because they come their containers. People are taking it on board and they’re happy to do it, which is great for everyone.”

The next fair will be held on Saturday, April 30 from 10am-2pm.

Crafters must live in the G83 or G84 areas and must be members of the association to hold a stall. All products must also be hand made.
