David Forrest’s excellent season for Helensburgh Curling Club continued with success in the James Sharp round robin.
A close win in his final match over near rival Gordon Whitelaw secured first place for Forrest’s rink, edging out near rivals Robin Irvine and Jonathon Clinch.
These three rinks along with Adam Clark’s rink qualified for the play-offs for the James Sharp Trophy but the reward for team Forrest was the Colquhoun Silver Trophy – a spectacular silver curling stone.
Club president Robert Cornwell presented the trophy to David and his team-mates – third Ian Chatton and second Peter Proctor shown in the photograph. Missing from the photograph was lead Andrew Brown.
