AN ANNUAL exhibition of paintings from a Helensburgh art collection will open to the public next weekend.
Works from the Anderson Trust local collection haven’t been shown to the public since before the pandemic.
A selection of works from the collection – all of which are associated with the local area, either through the artist or the subject matter – will go on display at Helensburgh Library from Sunday, May 1 until Thursday, June 30.
The collection – started off in 1980 thanks to a bequest from the late Annie Templeton Anderson – has grown from an original collection of 34 paintings to 132 today, of which 28 will go on display at the forthcoming exhibition.
Admission to the exhibition, which will be on show during normal library opening hours, is free.
