A TEENAGER has been charged by police following reports of vandalism and attempted housebreaking in Cove.
Officers attended Barbour Road on the peninsula at around 2.15pm on Sunday, May 1 in response to reports of a male within gardens in the area.
It was later confirmed that an attempt had been made to open a locked shed within one of the gardens, and although the door had reportedly been damaged, entry had not been gained.
According to witnesses, a window had also been smashed at a nearby property and a description of a youth dressed in dark clothing was provided.
A search of the surrounding area resulted in a 14-year-old male from Cove being traced and identified as the alleged perpetrator.
He was charged with vandalism and attempted housebreaking.
