FORESTRY and Land Scotland is looking for a new operator to take on a long-term lease of its campsite on the banks of Loch Lomond.
The government agency’s move follows a recent buyout of the site from the Camping and Caravanning Club.
The Cashel site, on the east shore of the loch north of Milarrochy Bay, looks directly out towards Inchlonaig.
It occupies 13 acres and is home to 168 pitches, 121 of them with electric hook-up points.
It also has two amenity blocks, a reception area and shop.
According to an online property listing for the leasehold of the site, the business reported pre-tax earnings of around £330,000 in the year to the end of February.
As well as covering the Cashel campsite, on the east shore of the loch north of Milarrochy Bay, FLS is also seeking an operator for sites near Aberfoyle and Aviemore.
