A HELENSBURGH business has won the 'boutique hotel of the year' prize at the Scottish Hospitality Awards.

Riva, on West Clyde Street, received the accolade at a glittering ceremony at the Marriott Hotel in Glasgow.

The Burgh venue beat off competition from finalists from as far afield as Campbeltown and Kinloch Rannoch to pick up the prize.

Rosneath Castle Park was also in the running for the Best Caravan Park prize but lost out to Blair Castle in Perthshire, though the Rosneath venue did take some consolation in a 'highly commended' rating from the judges.

A spokesperson for The Scottish Hospitality Awards 2022, said: “The Awards have acknowledged some incredible individuals who make a positive difference to the hospitality industry.

“It was great to meet with inspiring people that work hard and go above and beyond the call of duty to meet their guests’ needs and improve the country’s cultural scene.

“We would like to congratulate all finalists and winners for their amazing achievements.”
