ALL roads lead to Luss this weekend for the long-awaited return of the Luss Highland Gathering next weekend.
After falling victim to Covid cancellations in both 2020 and 2021, the Gathering will return on Saturday, July 2 with all the traditional favourite attractions, including Highland dancing, heavy athletics, local and open piping contests, the tug-o-war and cycling and running races.
Added attractions include a display by the dogs and ducks of the Drakes of Hazzard.
First held in 1875, thanks to the enthusiasm of local farmers and sportsmen, the Luss Gathering attracts visitors from far and wide, including those attending the annual gathering of the Clan Colquhoun.
The day’s events begin at 10.30am, and the Gathering will be opened by Chieftain Patrick Colquhoun at 11am, with the action expected to continue until around 5pm.
Parking is available opposite the Games field (£1.20 per hour) or next to the Games field (£5 per day). Find out more here.
