STAFF at Helensburgh’s Morrisons supermarket have presented the charity that runs the Robin House children’s hospice with a cheque for more than £3,000.

The total of £3,310 for Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) and the Together for Short Lives charity was raised from the ‘10 Million Steps in May’ challenge undertaken by staff at the store – an effort which culminated in a group of workers from the shop climbing Ben Lomond on May 28 – plus match funding from the Morrisons Foundation.

Alison Sturgeon, community champion at the Morrisons store in Helensburgh, said: “We are hugely grateful to our colleagues and customers for raising such an amazing total for our charity partners CHAS and Together for Short Lives.

“We are twinned with Robin House which means every penny our store raises goes directly to them.”
