A LOCAL derby with Loch Lomond is among the attractions on Helensburgh Rugby Club's fixture list for the coming season.

Having finished last season at the foot of West Division 2, the Ardencaple side will line up in Division 3 in the 2022-23 campaign, with other highlights of the fixture list including away trips to Dunoon and Mull.

The club’s competitive season begins with a West Regional Bowl preliminary round tie against Cumbernauld at Ardencaple on August 27, with an away fixture against either Moffat or Lanark in the quarter-finals on November 12 the reward for the winners.

The Greens’ campaign in Tennent’s West League Division 3 begins with a trip to Dunoon to face Cowal on September 3, with the first home league tie for Helensburgh being against Lochaber seven days later.

The 14-team Division 3 line-up means that each team will play the other only once, with the final round of matches taking place on January 14.

Helensburgh’s full fixture list for the new season is as follows.
