HELENSBURGH’S Victoria Halls received a splash of colour recently as the town’s horticultural society held its 170th annual flower and vegetable show.

The Helensburgh and Gareloch Horticultural Society’s event returned in-person for the first time in several years, after people had to settle for an online iteration during the height of the pandemic.

For those in attendance, the 2022 event did not disappoint, offering 104 different classes for people to enter, including children’s groups in growing and crafts.

The result was a heady mix of brightly coloured flowers which were a treat for the eyes - with plenty of silverware on hand for those whose produce caught the eye.
