Helensburgh Rugby Club’s P6/7 team turned in a fantastic display at Isle of Mull RFC’s Dalriada festival last weekend.
The early start to reach Mull for the Burgh team didn’t affect them as they produced a dominant performance to bring wins against all four opponents on the day.
The team showed their versatility in attack, with tries from Donnie, Flynn, JJ, Arthur, Zach, Jasper, Jamie and Harry L, ably supported by Tom and Adam B along with superb defence, especially from Adam L who seemed to be tackling every opposition attacker at one point!
The team thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality, with many of the Burgh team camping overnight on the pitches to get the full rugby tour experience.
The Helensburgh minis (P4-7) section train every Friday, and Sundays are either matches or training, depending on whether there’s a fixture or not, while the P1-3 squad trains every Sunday morning.
Please contact the coaches here if you’re interested in your child coming along.
Results: Oban Lorne 2 Helensburgh 6; Mid Argyll 2 Helensburgh 7; Lochaber 0 Helensburgh 4; Isle of Mull 4 Helensburgh 6.
