THE Book Nook at the Helensburgh Community Hub has closed for Christmas and New Year.
The service, which is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and alternate Saturdays, will return when the area’s school pupils go back to class on Monday, January 9.
In a message posted on the Helensburgh Community Hub’s page on Facebook, hub development manager Gill Simpson said: “From the whole Book Nook team, a huge thank you to everyone who has donated books, or bought books – or both.
“We are so grateful to you all for supporting us.
“And a very heartfelt thank you from myself and the hub board of trustees to our amazing team of volunteers who make this place so warm and welcoming.
“It really does feel like we are becoming a hub for our community, and that makes my heart sing.”
