PLANS have been unveiled to install a top-up water tap in Luss.

Scottish Water is seeking permission to install the free-standing facility in the village’s north car park, next to the public toilets.

Plans lodged with the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority state that if planning permission is granted, the installation of the tap is expected to take up to three days.

The utility company says the site was chosen after consultation with Luss and Arden Community Council after a short-list of locations was drawn up based on requests from the community.

Scottish Water also says that all planning authorities have granted permission for similar facilities using a uniform blue design and that the proposal “is in line with street furniture in the area”.

A decision is expected by March 10.
