MODEL rail enthusiasts from Helensburgh have been attracting plenty of attention at the hobby's biggest Scottish show of the year.
Members of the Helensburgh and District Model Rail Club put their layout on display at Model Rail Scotland, at the Scottish Events Campus in Glasgow.
The team brought a brand new N-gauge layout, Millig Creek, to the event, showcasing it across the three days.
Speaking to Advertiser columnist and fellow model rail enthusiast Mike Edwards, club member George said the 16-foot layout was inspired by trips to the south-west of the United States.
Mike highlighted the club's use of a "remarkable" tressle bridge - a common feature of railroads in America.
The sticks used to create the bridge were each made specifically using a laser cutting machine.
Club member Scott Matthews said: "The layout is on two levels with a low level running on the outskirts of the town, Millig Creek. Then the centrepiece of the layout is the wooden viaduct, handmade by one of the club members.
"This carries long passenger and freight trains which is always popular, especially with kids and young families.
"The show went really well and appeared to be busier than last year."
Helensburgh and District Model Rail Club also attended last weekend's Community Clubs event held at Hermitage Academy, showcasing another of their layouts to residents of the area.
