A BOUNTY of baking that would make Mary Berry blush is set to fill a community-owned venue in Helensburgh this weekend.

From focaccia to fruit scones and cupcakes to traybakes., mouth-watering goodies of all kinds will be on sale on Saturday to raise money for some great local causes.

The Big Community Bake Sale will see eight different organisations raising money for their activities at the Helensburgh Community Hub, on the corner of East Princes Street and Glenfinlas Street, on Saturday, May 20.

The event has generated support from the local branch of the Scottish Women's Institute, who have kindly offered their baking services - and home baking doesn't get much better than the SWI!

Tesco Express on Sinclair Street has also stepped in to support the event by offering free ingredients to bakers taking part.

It's all set to be the perfect opportunity to get some delicious treats while helping local groups organisations fundraise.

The organisations taking part are the Helensburgh Community Hub (fundraising for the Dolly Parton's Imagination Library programme_, Visiting Friends befriending service, the Jean's Bothy mental health hub, Helensburgh and Lomond Carers Centre, Helensburgh Amateur Swimming Club, Fun First, The Dance Academy (fundraising for an upcoming trip), and the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank.

Hub development manager Gill Simpson said: "Pop into the Hub on East Princes Street from 11am-1pm to grab some delicious homemade baking."
