A SUPPORT group for people with multiple sclerosis had a “wonderful” time celebrating the coronation with an afternoon tea and raffle.
The Dumbarton and District MS group – which encompasses the Helensburgh and Lomond area – visited the Rosslea Hall Hotel in Rhu for their festivities on Saturday, May 6.
The day was enjoyed by all and helped raise funds for the group – with the raffle and tea making £134.
Group coordinator Sheena Rollo said: “Dumbarton and District MS group had a wonderful time celebrating the Royal Coronation at the Rosslea Hall Hotel in Rhu.
“The group enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea and had a small raffle with prizes.
“The room was decorated with an abundance of right royal decorations and a great royal time was had by all.”
The Rosslea Hall Hotel contributed to the raffle by donating a free afternoon tea voucher which the group were grateful for.
Guests had a great time as they enjoyed the food and drinks on offer and thanked the hardworking volunteers for their time.
Louise and Douglas Smart from Helensburgh said: “We have had a really fun afternoon - our afternoon tea was lovely.
“We would like to say a special thanks to our volunteers today.”
The group holds regular drop-in sessions at the Helensburgh and Lomond Civic Centre as well as a programme of events throughout the year, many of them held at the Rosslea.
