IT was a gala spectacular for the residents of Rhu and Shandon at the weekend.
After a three-year absence, the Gala Day enjoyed a gloriously sunny return featuring dozens of groups and businessses, competitions such as dog show and tug of war, and plenty of music and fun.
The Ardenconnel pitches and HMNB Clyde hosted the event after a stellar effort from volunteers to bring everything together.
Other features included an assault course, the Rhu Pirate Treasure Hunt, face painting, live performance, and games galore.
Rhu and Shandon Church offered the tea tent and The Rhu Inn put on the bar tent. They also happened to win the tug of war contest on the day.
