Further disruptive roadworks are expected on a major route between Rosneath and Kilcreggan next month.

Workers carried out unexpected works on the B833 last week, leading to confusion for motorists and public transport operators.

Argyll and Bute Council has now confirmed that some works on the route are still outstanding, and have been pencilled in for the end of July.

A spokesperson said: “Resurfacing works require a spell of dry weather and due to the recent wet weather, some of the work on the B833 is outstanding.

“Our contractors are aiming to return at the end of July to carry out the remaining works, subject to weather conditions.

“Contractors will issue more information closer to the planned start date and will try to minimise any disruption.”
