Pre-loved and handmade goods will be on sale to Helensburgh and Lomond bargain hunters during a table top sale next month.

The Balloch Table Top Sale will take place on Saturday, September 2 between 10.45am and 1.30pm at St Kessog's Church Hall in Balloch.

Organised by the Glasgow Table Top Sale group, the event will feature a variety of second-hand, vintage and crafted items such as household goods, clothing, CDs, books, board games and toys, available across 27 stalls.

Tables can be hired for each event at a cost of just £10.

Founder Stephen Waters said: “I looked at all other markets that are out there and they’re charging about £30 a table – it’s ridiculous because there’s people who just want to get rid of their stuff but can’t afford to.

“It gives people the chance to earn a bit of money rather than just give their stuff away.

“There’s a bit of everything really – its like a flea market.”

Since the sales began, Stephen has held events every four weeks in areas such as Bishopbriggs, Clydebank, Dumbarton and Balloch.

Entry to the event is free with prices at each stall being set by the sellers.

Glasgow Table Top Sale is hoping to host more events later this year - including another Balloch pop-up.
