A Helensburgh parent and toddler group have announced their updated schedule as they return to regular activities after a summer break.

Fun First is once again starting up their sessions for families with children under five throughout Helensburgh, Cardross, Rosneath and Garelochhead.

Activities will be held from Monday to Friday with all being available on a pay what you can basis and the group suggesting a donation of £2 per session.

On Mondays the group will hold their Baby and Toddler Funtime sessions in Helensburgh Library and St Modans Church Hall with both starting at 10am.

Cardross Library will host a Funtime session on Tuesdays at 1.30pm.

On Wednesdays a Funtime group followed by a Play and Stay session will be held in Garelochhead’s Gibson Hall from 10am.

Fitness classes for parents with children between the ages of 18 months and five years old will take place on Thursdays in Helensburgh’s Victoria Halls at 10am.

The Helensburgh Community Hub will host a play group on Fridays at 9.45am followed by a cuppa and a chat for parents.

Fun First has also added baby massage, mum and baby yoga sessions, and Fun First Friends groups for new and expectant parents to their roster – but these are held on an individual basis.

Created in 2001, the group hopes to help children develop communication and motor skills as well as encourage life skills and social connections they can take into later life.

The group provides sessions for families with children aged up to five years old and aims to be accessible to families of all financial backgrounds.

The charity is suggesting a donation of £2 per session, with cash and cashless payment options available at sessions.
