Drivers went along the promenade to the roundabout in front of Morrisons where they turned and travelled, via Rhu, to Garelochhead, along the road to Rosneath Castle Park where the route ended, and visitors enjoyed lunch between noon and 1pm.

For the fourth year running, local residents had the rare chance to see a wide array of classic cars dating from the 1920s to the 1960s - and as expected the event had a popular turnout.

David Morgan from the event's organisers, the Scottish Western Thoroughbred Vehicle Club [SWTVC], said: “There are 100-year-old cars and vehicles that are even more recent - some of the cars dating into the '50s and '60s.
“It’s been very popular the last few years.
“We’ve had a good turnout and a lot of members of the public like to come up and ask about the cars.”

In previous years, the run has finished at Cove Burgh Hall, but due to the hall’s unavailability this time round, Rosneath Castle Park has functioned as this year’s end destination.
