A POP-UP property event is set to be held in Helensburgh for anyone thinking of buying or selling in the area.

The informal Q&A session will bring together representatives from different firms in the town to offer the answers you need.

Residential property lawyer Jennifer Deegan and paralegal Lori Henderson from BTO are joining staff from Clyde Property estate agents, mortgage adviser Lawler & Co, and Allied Surveyors Scotland plc, for the event. It is free and includes refreshments.

The evening will be hosted at BTO Solicitors' office at 77-81 Sinclair Street on Thursday, October 12, and is for anyone looking to buy or sell a property, not just first-time buyers.

Jennifer said: “The prospect of buying or selling a property can be quite overwhelming for some people.

"We were looking for ways in which we could make taking the first step easier, so we enlisted the help of colleagues in the residential property industry to provide a comprehensive ‘panel’ of experts.

“It’s basically a chance for guests to ask questions in a relaxed environment, on subjects such as buying a home with a partner, Additional Dwelling Supplement, and so on, and for us to give something back to the local community.

“Our guests will also be provided with a free information pack outlining every step of the legal and conveyancing process.

"They’ll receive guidance on how to apply for the best mortgage deals, how to get the best from their estate agent, top tips for marketing their property and information on what to expect from a Home Report and most importantly how to spot red flags.”

The event runs from 6pm to 8pm and no appointment is needed to drop by during the evening.

BTO took over the running of long-established Helensburgh law firm Raeburn Hope in March 2022.
