DRIVERS in Helensburgh are facing disruption and a lengthy diversion due to a five-day closure of one of the main roads in and out of the town.
According to a notice published on the Scottish Road Works Commissioner's website, the A818 Luss Road will be completely shut at the Daligan Farm junction from Monday, October 23 for five working days to allow essential carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out.
All vehicles will be unable to access the area throughout the works.
Motorists travelling between Helensburgh and Loch Lomond will have to use the A814 and A82 via Cardross, Dumbarton and Balloch instead.
Elsewhere in the area, work has started on Pier Road in Rhu as Scottish Water repairs a lateral sewer.
The road is expected to be closed for a week to complete the works.
