DRIVERS in Helensburgh and Lomond are being warned of the five-day closure of a section of road near Loch Lomond.

The single-track Tulloch Road through Glen Douglas, between Inverbeg and Craggan, will be completely shut during the day at Doune Farm, Argyll and Bute Council has announced.

All vehicles, except those involved in the works, will be prohibited from the 400-metre section of the C69 road between 9am and 5pm from Monday, October 30 to Friday, November 3.

Only emergency service vehicles and residents of any properties on the stretch will be allowed to access the road.

The road will be open to all traffic between 5pm and 9am.

Westbound traffic will instead have to use the A82 to Tarbet and A83 to Arrochar before heading south along the A814.

The same diversion applies in reverse to eastbound traffic.
