The owner of a popular Kilcreggan art gallery is preparing to open her doors once again to the village for a Christmas show.

Winter Wonders will be displayed in The Porch Gallery at owner Fiona Holland’s home of Templeton Cottage on School Road from Friday, November 17 to Sunday, December 3.

The event has become a local favourite and will showcase work from across Scotland as exhibitors range from highly collected and nationally renowned artists to brand new emerging talents.

Fiona said: “I’m so excited to be bringing The Porch back for a festive show.

“As ever, I’ve been humbled and thrilled to receive such great support from all the artists and makers, as well as keen encouragement from Porch fans, many of whom have been regular visitors from the very beginning, as well as new people who are only just discovering it.

“We all know that times can be particularly tough at the moment, so we really appreciate our incredibly loyal followers and look forward to welcoming lots of new faces, too.

“And we’ll continue to support the RNLI by selling the charity’s own branded Christmas cards, as well as ones of Kilcreggan Pier produced by the local Cove and Kilcreggan fundraising branch.”

Artists from the Helensburgh and Lomond area in the exhibition include: Cardross’ Joyce Borland, Kate Cassell, Rosie Montgomery, Mary McDonald and Nicola Porciani; Helensburgh’s Mary-Jane Selwood, Maeve Dixon, Sarah-Jane Selwood, Judy Garrity and Caitlin Hegney, Rosie Loves Bruce from Garelochhead; Cove and Kilcreggan’s Fiona Kilgore, Nigel Reid-Foster, Helen Reid-Foster, Joe Macfarlane, Eleanor Carlingford, Agnes Borland-Sinclair, Heather Spriggs and Christine Gemson, and Maggie Irving from Rosneath.

The gallery will be open from 2pm to 7.30pm on its opening day and thereafter it will open Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12 noon to 5.30pm until the final day on Sunday, December 3.

The exhibition can be accessed on alternative dates and times by prior arrangement with Fiona who can be contacted via
