THE Peninsula Choir’s Sunday afternoon winter concert in Helensburgh takes place this weekend.
The choir's great mix of carols and other seasonal music entertained a delighted audience at Cove Burgh Hall on December 10, and now the choir's members are preparing to take their talents 'on the road' to Helensburgh.
The concert will be held at the United Reformed Church in West Princes Street on Sunday, December 17 at 3pm.
The choir’s conductor is Moira Frize-Williams and guest soloists at the concert are singer Sian Winstanley and trumpet player Alastair Caldwell.
Set up in 2010, the choir has been reborn under Moira's leadership after Covid and the decision of founding leader Stephen Adam to move away from the Peninsula, and is now back and flourishing once more with its mixed repertoire of classics, pop, folk, musicals and seasonal favourites.
The concert will be followed by tea/coffee and cake, and entry is £8 per person. All welcome.
