Primary one pupils at a Helensburgh school are “spreading Christmas cheer” to people in need by donating to a local food bank.
As part of their Advent Enterprise project, the P1 class at St Joseph's Primary collected food for the Helensburgh and Lomond Foodbank’s Christmas bags appeal - and made Christmas cards and decorations to go with them.
Class teacher Miss Neil said: “We collected lots of food for the Christmas bags and we included handmade Christmas tree cards with a Merry Christmas message written by themselves inside.
“We also made handprint reindeer tree decorations that can be included in the bags.
“Primary one are spreading their Christmas cheer to those who find this time of year difficult.
“We are working hard to demonstrate our school Value of Kindness this Christmas.
“P1 wanted to think of other people at a time which is happy for lots of people but difficult for some families. We are very proud of our young learners.”
