PEOPLE in Helensburgh and Lomond relying on public transport to get around over the Christmas holiday period are being warned of changes to the usual timetables.

There will be no public transport in the area on Christmas Day, while timetables on both train and bus services will be amended on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

ScotRail’s services to and from Helensburgh will finish early on Christmas Eve; the last train from Helensburgh Central is the 9.25pm to Airdrie, while the last train from Glasgow to Helensburgh leaves Queen Street low level station at 9.54pm, arriving in Helensburgh at 10.46pm.

A revised service operates on Boxing Day, with the first train from Helensburgh departing at 8.59am; the first train to town on Boxing Day leaves Glasgow Queen Street at 9.05am.
