People are pausing to remember the loss nearly 10 years ago of lives in the Glasgow bin lorry crash.
On December 22, 2014, six people lost their lives and 15 people were injured after bin lorry driver Harry Clarke blacked out and crashed in a city centre lane.
Jack Sweeney, 68, was a security guard at Coulport and his wife Lorraine, 69, and their granddaughter Erin McQuade, 18, were all from Dumbarton.
The bin lorry also killed Stephenie Tait, 28, Jacqueline Morton, 51, both from Glasgow, and Gillian Ewing, 52, from Edinburgh.
The lorry being driven by Harry Clarke had travelled at 25mph along the pavement in Queen Street before crashing into the side of the Millennium Hotel in George Square.
Hundreds were also left traumatised by what they had witnessed and, for many, the events of that day are a black cloud over what was supposed to be a magical time of the year.
It was a tragic disaster in Glasgow and every year we never forget those who died that day.
