As we prepare to enter 2024, many parents in Helensburgh and Lomond will also be getting their children ready to return to school.
To help parents keep track of next year’s school holidays and plan for 2024, here’s a guide to all the upcoming important dates for Argyll and Bute schools - from January to June.
January
Thursday, January 4 – pupils return after winter break
February
Saturday, February 10 to Monday, February 19 inclusive – Schools are closed for the February holidays (February 19 is a teacher in-service day)
March/ April
Friday, March 29 to Friday, April 12 inclusive – Children are off school for the Easter break
May
Friday, May 24 to Monday, May 27– Schools closed for teacher in-service days
June
Friday, June 28 – Last day of school before summer break
August
The new school year begins for pupils on Wednesday, August 14, with in-service days for teachers on August 12 and 13.
