A volunteer-run lunch group is reminding elder residents of the town that they are also open on Fridays.
Helensburgh Lunch Club has been open on Fridays since September as well as Mondays and Thursdays, they have announced.
They meet at the United Reformed Church in West Princes Street and offer soup and a sandwich at the end of the week, compared to two-course meals on Monday and Thursday.
The group has been a lifeline for older residents for more than 40 years but we reported in December how they needed new members to ensure its future.
Each day requires at least two servers, two more in the kitchen and someone in charge of money. They need new volunteers as elder members have had to stop their work.

Barbara Maitland, one of the club's few remaining volunteers, told the Advertiser: “If the volunteers weren’t there the club wouldn’t exist. There’s nothing but volunteers running the group.
“The people who attend are such a nice and interesting bunch of people, all with different jobs and backgrounds, and they have a good sense of humour."
Food is served at 12.30pm and the group hopes to eventually return to four days a week if they get the volunteers to help.
