Young carers in the area are looking for a new worker to help support their lives.

Helensburgh and Lomond Carers Centre is looking for an "enthusiastic and motivated" individual to join the young carers team.

They will work with young people aged five to 25 who have caring responsibility.

The young carers assistant support worker is a part-time role of 21 hours a week and will be based in Lomond House in Helensburgh.

Ashley Bolton, team leader, told the Advertiser: "Working throughout the Helensburgh and Lomond area, including rural villages, you will work as part of a dedicated team to make a difference to lives of young carers and their families.

"You will assist to support the development and work of Helensburgh and Lomond Young Carers, including helping to identify young carers, working with young carers and their families and assisting to organise activities and events.

"The successful applicant will require to be registered as a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme, which will involve a Disclosure Scotland check."
