Helensburgh tots had fun celebrating World Book Day during an exciting event in the town last week.
The Live Argyll library service's World Book Day Bookbug took place on Wednesday, March 6 at Helensburgh Library.
Library supervisor Fiona Sharkey, dressed for the day as La La from the Teletubbies, was the session leader, with mums, dads, and carers bringing along their little ones dressed as superheroes, princesses, and beloved children’s book characters such as Winnie the Pooh.
A spokesperson for the library said: “World Book Day is one of the most exciting days in the library calendar, celebrated at Bookbug sessions and class visits.”
World Book Day aims to promote reading for pleasure and was created by UNESCO in 1995.
Helensburgh Library’s Bookbug session runs weekly on Wednesdays and Fridays at 10am.
